Over 20 apps are donating to charity this weekend, here’s how you can help out

This weekend is Indie Charity Weekend – a new initiative started by notable app developer Will Bishop! Starting today, 100% of this weekends proceeds from the 23 participating apps will go to the charity of the developers choice.

In the past, Will has held app fundraisers for the early 2020 Australian wildfires, where he raised over $3000 and provided proof of donation. This time around, he’s gathered nearly two dozen apps to participate in a charity weekend, with a pretty nice lineup:

As mentioned earlier, each developer is donating to a varying charity, and you can learn more by checking out the website for Indie Charity Weekend. Proof of donation will be provided within a few days of the weekend ending.

Some of the supported charities include Make A Wish, St. Jude, and American Cancer Society.

If any of these apps sound interesting to you, and you’re interested in supporting charity, feel free to check out any of these apps this weekend! It’s a great concept, and I’d love to see more of this in the community.

As a reminder, 100% of proceeds (earnings after Apple’s 15-30% cut) will go to charity for purchases made in these apps this weekend (November 16-17).
